The supreme court on Thursday gave in principle clearance to the schemes placed on record by the CBSE and ICSE to assess the final marks of class 12 students.
The CBSE has divided the marks assessment process into two components – theory and practical.
The weightage formula is 30+30+40, where 30% weightage will be given to class 10th marks, 30% weightage to class 11th and 40% weightage to class 12 internal assessment.
# Stalin meets Modi

# Birth, death registrations
The level of registration of births and deaths in the country improved in 2019.
This has been concluded according to a report “vital statistics of India based on the civil registration system” report.
The reports states that the level of birth registration increased from 87.8% in 2018 to 92.7% in 2019 and death registrations went up from 84.6% to 92% during the period.
# New space station
The first group of chinese astronauts on thursday entered the country’s under construction space station.
China has planned to have a fully functioning space station by year 2021 end.
On thursday afternoon, the Shenzhou-12 spaceship, carrying the three astronauts, completed an “automated rendezvous and docking” with the Tianhe module.
