# Covid-19 cases in India

 

 

  • India recorded 1,50,527 new covid-19 cases and 3028 deaths on sunday.
  • Around 20.68 lakh samples were tested in the country on saturday.
  • India’s average daily test positivity rate declined to 9.4% on may 29.
  • About 30.34 lakh vaccine doses were administered in last 24 hours.

# Monsoon onset delayed

 

 

  • The arrival of the southwest monsoon over Kerela has been delayed to June 3, the IMD said on sunday.
  • The agency had last month forecasted that the onset would be on may 31.
  • Indian meterological department said the monsoon onset forecasts have a built in error window of 4 days. So, june 3 still falls in this window.
