India’s covid-19 cases tally crossed the 1.5 crore mark on sunday.
The country registered 2,75,196 new covid cases on sunday.
Maharashtra reported maximum cases of 68,631 followed by UP (30566) and Delhi (25462).
Maharashtra also recorded the maximum casualties of 503, on sunday. Chattisgarh followed with 170 new deaths, while Delhi registered 161 new casualties.
Ramesh pokhriyal Nishank announced that April JEE (main) has been postponed.
# Railways
Two years ago 61 persons participating in the Dussehra celebrations near Amritsar were killed in an accident.

Meghalaya has yielded India’s first bamboo dwelling bat with sticky discs.
It has took the species count of the flying mammals in the country to 130.
The disc footed bat (Evdiscopus denticulus) was recorded in the northeastern state’s lailad area near the Nongkhyllem wildlife sanctuary, about 1000 KM west of its nearest known habitat in myanmar.
# Covid management
Central government has sanctioned 162 oxygen plants across different states.
Railways will run ” oxygen express” trains over the next few days to transport liquid medical oxygen and oxygen cylinders across the country.
The centre has banned the supply of oxygen for industrial purposes from April 22.
However, supply for industries that make ampoulses and vials, pharmaceuticals, refineries and steel plants etc. has been exempted.
