# Covid situation

 

 

  • PM Modi said in a meeting on saturday that 162 PSA oxygen plants in 32 states and UTs has been installed with the PM-cares fund.
  • He also informed that 1 lakh cylinders were being procured and would be supplied to the states soon.
  • Health ministry has said that there are 2463 laboratories in the country with a combined daily testing capacity of 15 lakh samples.

 

 

 

# Investment tracker

 

 

  • Fresh investments into Tamil nadu more than doubled to 1,00,000 crore during the pandemic hit 2020-21 financial year.
  • Tamil nadu stood second after Maharashtra in overall investment this financial year.
  • Tamil Nadu has jumped from 12th position in 2019-20 to 2nd position in 2020-21.

 

 

 

# Madvi Hidma

 

 

  • The NIA has declared a reward of 7 lakh rupees for the arrest of Madvi Hidma.
  • Madvi Hidma is the Naxal who heads the 1st batallion of the people’s liberation gureilla army (PLGA).
  • PLGA is a banned group of naxals which is most active in southern chattisgarh.
  • 10 lakh rupees reward has also been announced for information leading to the arrest of CPI (maoist) general secretary Basavarajo.

 

 

 

# Nagaland NRC

 

 

  • The nagaland government has decided to form a Joint consultative committee (JCC) involving all traditional tribal bodies and civil society organisations.
  • This committee will do an exercise to register the state’s indigenous inhabitants.
  • The cut-off date to become an indigenous inhabitant of nagaland has been kept as December 1, 1963 – the day Nagaland attained statehood.

 

 

 

# Bustard poaching

 

 

  • A recent photograph has emerged from the Pakistan’s cholistan desert where poachers can be seen with carcasses of birds in their hands and guns on their shoulders.
  • The bird which was poached is the Great Indian Bastard (GIB), which is also the state bird of Rajasthan.
  • GIB is also an critically endangered species in IUCN list.
  • The group of poachers include a retired pakistani army major.

 

 

 

# ASEAN summit

 

 

  • Myanmar junta leader Min aung Hlaing will join a special ASEAN summit last week.
  • This will be the first foreign visit of military leader since masterminding a coup against the deposed civilian leader Aung san suu kyi.
