# Trump impeachment

• Former US president Donald trump was acquitted by the US senate in the impeachment trial of inciting an insurrection with regard to the january 6 attack on the capitol.

• The senate voted 57-43 on saturday to acquit Donald trump.

• 7 republican senators cross voted in favour of impeachment but total 67 votes were needed for the impeachment.

# Arjun MK-1A tank

• PM modi on sunday handed over the indigenous main battle tank Arjun MK-1A to the army in a function to the Jawaharlal nehru indoor stadium in chennai.

• Arjun MK1A tank is designed and developed by chennai based Combat vehicles research & development establishment (CVRDE), a unit of the DRDO.

# Environmental activist case

• Disha Ravi, a 23 year old climate activist was on sunday remanded in custody of the Delhi police for five days.

• She was arrested for sharing and editing the toolkit shared by Greta Thunberg (climate activist).

• The toolkit was created as a plan to review Pro-khalisatan groups in the country.

# Fossils of “Dickinsonia”

• Resaearchers have discovered three fossils of the earliest known living animal.

• This is a 550 million year old “Dickinsonia” on the roof of the Bhimbetka rock shelters, about 40 km from Bhopal.

• These new discoveries are published in a journal, Gondwana reasearch.

• These journals can be found in the “auditorium cave” the first of such caves at “Bhimbetka”, a UNESCO heritage site.

# Trip of envoys to J&k

• 4G internet services has been restored in J&K.

• Indian government is planning to take a group of diplomats to srinagar and jammu to showcase the situation in J&K.

• The visit will be the third official one by foreign diplomats to J&K since the abrogation of article 370 from J&K.
