# Disengagement at pangong tso

 

 

  • India and China have reached an agreement on disengagement in the pangong lake area.
  • The chinese side will keep its troop presence in the north bank area to east of of finger 8 and Indian side will keep its troop at finger 3.
  • The coordinated disengagement will be done in the south bank as well.

 

 

 

# Self regulatory toolkit

 

 

  • The government is soon expected to come out with regulations for OTT platforms.
  • Prior to that, the Internet and mobile associations of India (IAMAI) on thursday said that 17 platforms, including netflix, disney+, hotstar have adopted a “toolkit” for effective implementation of the self regulation code introduced last year.

 

 

 

# Vaccination in Delhi

 

 

  • A total of 15,807 beneficiaries, healthcare and frontline workers took the covid-19 vaccination in the city on Thursday.
  • The number of people vaccinated on thursday was 62.4% of the daily target of 25,300.
  • Of the total beneficiaries, 12,933 (81.8%) were frontline workers and 2874 healthcare workers.
  • The trend shows that frontline workers are keener than healthcare workers to get the vaccine jab.

 

 

 

# Revised airfare bands

 

 

  • Air travel has become costlier, with the union government on thursday increasing the minimum and maximum fares on airline can levy on given route with immediate effect.
  • The minimum fare on each route has gone up by 10% and the maximum by 30%, according to the order issued by the civil aviation ministry.
  • The government has been regulating airfares from may 25,2020, when domestic flights resumed after the nationwide lockdown.
  • These revised airfare bands will be mandatory till march 31.

 

 

 

# Accesible India campaign

 

 

  • Less than 7% of public buses in the country were fully accesible to wheelchair users.
  • The target set by government of India under accesible India campaign was 25% of buses will be wheelchair accessible by june 2022.
  • Of the 44768 buses operating in urban areas, only 22.3% are fully wheelchair accessible.
