# Vaccine drive

 

 

 

  • Covid-19 vaccination drive to be limited to 4 days a week.
  • A total of 2,24,301 were administered the covid-19 vaccine in two days – said health ministry.
  • There are 3000 vaccination sites, and a capacity of 100 persons per site in the country.
  • Of those vaccinated so far, 447 reported minor reactions such as pain, mild swealing, mild fever,etc while 3 were hospitalised.

 

 

 

# Farmers protest

 

 

 

  • Farmer unions insisted on their tractor parade on 26th january on outer ring road of delhi.
  • They assured that there would be no provocative speeches and violence.
  • National investigation agency had examined a Khalsa aid (an NGO) functionary in case related to Sikh for justice (a banned khalistani organisation).

 

 

 

# G7 summit

 

 

 

  • The United Kingdom has invited PM Modi to attend the G7 summit.
  • G7 summit is scheduled to be held in june in United kingdom.
  • Apart from India, South korea and Australia are also invited to participate in the proceedings of the summit as “guest countries”.

 

 

 

# Sero survey

 

 

 

  • A first pan India survey tracking nearly 10,000 employees of the council of scientific and industrial research (CSIR) on the prevalance of covid-19 has been conducted.
  • It has found that nearly 10% of the staff of CSIR were infected.
  • The study suggests that over 100 million persons in India had been infected and had recovered by september 2020.

  • PM Narendra modi flagged of eight trains connecting Kevadia in Gujarat, where statue of unity is located.
  • PM narendra modi also said that more than 50 lakh visitors have come to see the statue of unity, after its inauguration.

 

 

 

# Pawan hans privatisation

 

 

 

  • The finance ministry has extended the bidding deadlines in the strategic disinvestment of pawan hans by a month.
  • This marks another setback for the government’s already dented plans to raise 2.1 lakh crore through disinvestment in 2020-21.
  • Government has raised just about 14,000 crore so far through minority stake sales.
