# J&K DDC polls
J&K district development council polls registered a 50.08% voter turnout in the 4th phase of the maiden DDC elections on monday.
Three districts in the volatile south kashmir saw single digit polling percentage. This pulled down the aggregate turnout in the kashmir valley to just 32%.

# Bharat biotech’s covaxin
Bharat biotech international limited on monday sought emergency use authorisation from drug controller general of India for it’s covid 19 vaccine namely covaxin.
Bharat biotech is the 3rd company after Pfizer and SIIĀ to apply for emergency use authorisation.
The covaxin has been developed by with the help of ICMR, and is undergoing phase 3 trials at over 25 centres across India.

# GST returns
Starting january 2021, 92% of taxpayers under GST regime with an annual turnover of upto 5 crore rupees can opt to file their returns once a quarter instead of the present monthly system.
As many as 94 lakh registered GST taxpayers can opt for the new quarterly filing of returns with monthly payment (QRMP).
